I pulled this off from my colleague’s (Doggie) blog on owning a car. He did a breakdown on how much he as a car owner would need to fork out in order to maintain his one-year-old Toyota Vios.
- Monthly installment – $550
- Petrol – $250
- HDB Season Parking – $65
- Office Season Parking – $80
- ERP/Cashcard Parking – $50
- Parking Coupons – $30
- Road Tax – $75 monthly
- Car Insurance – $70 monthly
All these will sum up to almost $1,200…a real pain isn’t it. Its a real irony that everyone knows owning a car in Singapore is extremely costly and completely not worth it and still we choose to be car owners…me included.
Not to gloat but I am really glad that I own an off-peak car. A normal peak car to me would mean cutting down excessively on booze and beer and I am soooooo not willing to trade. I seriously don’t earn that much…

i just see them outside ‘home’ 
yeah..my is an OPC and I am bleeding away..well..not really but imagine the good stuffs I can get with all the money saved..mmm..but the convenience factor is there I guess.
