Another pasture..but not so green…

Yeap…so today marks my second day of work in my new organisation. As much as this place is perceived to be a very dynamic environment, I can’t help but notice that people here are not as warm as my previous work place. One thing I learnt, they are not exactly morning people. So I would have to put my loud and high pitched morning greetings on hold for the time being.

But I guess as newbies go, acclimatisation will need to take some time. Adding to that being new also means that my new found colleagues are not aware of my quirky behaviour, of which I would love to share with them.

Yesterday, my new boss briefed me about my new job scope. Although it is not exactly the one I wanted from the two options offered earlier, it is still quite exciting. The good news is that she is willing to get me involve in some additional high media profile projects, something I am truly grateful for. Anyhoo…time to get back to work now. There’ lots to do…

  • hey jason, all the best in the new job. hahaha. new jobs are always exciting. and yeah, i dont understand why some people are so grouchy in the morning!!

i just need my coffee and then im a happy kitty. happy working!

  • Daphne: Thank you thank you…I am crossing my fingers here man..heheh. Although I am not a very very morning person, I do perk up once the coffee hits…pretty much like you..~snigger~

  • Jason – the first week in a new organization will usually be the worst! Its hard to adapt to the new environment, the stress of trying to get into the group etc…

But once you get the hang of it – you’ll feel very much at home. Hang in there!

  • Mei Ling: Yeah..its quite bad eh? hehe..but I am adapting well…people are nicer now and now that I got more job scope added to my plate..I guess I will get to know more people eh?
