Standing beside a giant

Thanks to Nic, I popped over to Catholic High School yesterday to watch a friendly basketball match between the Singapore Slingers and the Singapore Slingers. Yeap, its not a typo there. Basically the team just split into two teams perhaps through a “black or white” or some “oh-ah-pei-ah-so” method to make their selection easier and fight it out from there… ;) .

Unfortunately, due to the last minute invite, I was unable to charge my DSLR in time and had to leave it at home. However, I was able to borrow a Nikon D50 off some management/player dude and mounted myself at one end of the court and fired way.

After the game, I headed over to Sam Harris, the team’s tallest player standing at 2.21m and did the ‘ol comparing of height thing. And just as I thought, he could totally use my head as an arm rest.

Although I didn’t have the time to chat with them, I had the honour of finally meeting some of our new players including Jason Castro, Dr Darren Ng and Eric Sandrin. Welcome to Singapore guys, I am looking forward to the new season :) .

  • ~jackie~: Hi and thanks for visiting my site. I didn’t really chat with him coz he looks pretty tired after the game. So I just took a shot with him and ‘bounced’. Not too sure where he was supposed to play tho, but that practice session was held in the school, nice and quiet if I may add..

Will post more photos the next time I meet the Slingers again ;)
