Wanted to get an Xbox 360 but got this instead…

My reason was pretty simple…I did the math. A 40GB Xbox 360 ($499 with two free games I don’t intend to play) together with a wireless networking adapter ($129) will set me back about $628. An 80GB Playstation 3 (PS3) with in-built Wifi and Bluetooth on the other hand is just $599. So apart from saving about $30 and getting twice the hard disk capacity as well as other benefits, I get be a proud owner of  a Bluray player too. Yeah it’s a sweet deal. Thanks to Len, a fellow PS3 owner for accompanying me. You can check out why Sony is making a loss despite its huge PS3 uptake in his entry here.

Oh by the way, here is an irony for you. I am not an avid gamer. So I guess you can understand why I foresee Lyn (my boo) nagging at me in the near future for spending so much money on something I don’t think I will be using often…uh oh ;) .
