My favourite band Angels and Airwaves will be releasing their new album titled LOVE in 15 days (US time considered) time. I’m not too sure if the release date, 14 Feb 2010 is intentional given their title, but word has it that they were supposed to release it during Christmas last year. All I know is that I’m just so looking forward to it. My last encounter of them during their concert here last year got me screaming like a lunatic and in more ways than one (okay, so I panicked initially), made me feel young again – nevermind that I was surrounded by youngsters more than 10 years my junior.
It has been a long while since I followed a band so closely. The last I remembered was the Offsprings in my teenage years. Not only did I have the honour of coming almost face to face with with a band I love during their concert (yeah I got good seats), I walked away with their autographs which is now sitting proudly beside my PS3. With two albums completed and the third soon to be released, I find myself in a familiar position as I was a little over a year ago, waiting in anticipation, and very…very excited.
Thankfully, the band released a teaser in the form of a single titled Hallucinations from the album. The song was made available for free via their website, and if that doesn’t already rock…check this, so is the album. Yes you read right, the album will be released free of charge due to corporate underwriting. In addition, the band also plan to release a science fiction film with the same title on the same day and yes you guessed it, also for free. How awesome is that?
With a little over two weeks to go, I’m taking some time to pull the old albums out again for a little nostalgia time. Good times…good times…
Indian cuisine lovers looking to maximise their budget can rejoice with yet another option, this time by Yantra. Located at Tanglin Mall, the Indian fine dining restaurant now offers a sumptuous buffet spread for just $15.00 nett from Mondays to Thursdays, 12pm to 3pm.
See..I didn’t bluff..
I have earlier written about them last May, so if you want to know how they fare in terms of food quality and service, click here. To me, Yantra is a must try and especially more so given that they have just launched their lunch special. Let’s say I’m looking forward to visiting them again. It has been a while..
…oh wait..hang on. Don’t hold me to that. Procrastination seems to be the constant flavour over the course of my blog experience and while I plan to begin writing again, there will be absence. Now that we got the caveat out of the way, allow me to start off by saying this – it is going to be an interesting year ahead!!
Lyn (my boo) and I finally got hitched exactly after four years of dating and we will be celebrating our anniversary every 1st January. To those who are wondering how married life is so far…”Fantastic!!”. Nevermind that we have been living together for over three years, we have always believed that each day always presents something wonderful for us to look forward to…and to think we have a whole life ahead…woah!
Our Bvlgari rings..yeah I know I’m bragging…
As for my career (until that Toto number opens), my Board approved my transfer and I have moved to the Dining Department handling well…food-related projects beginning this year. Honestly, I’m quite excited given that I have a passion for all things food (well..at least I think I do). In addition to a huge exposure to the F&B industry, who knows, maybe it will spur Lyn and I to open a restaurant one day…
To those thinking that I will be spending a significant amount of my meals eating at no cost…well think again. There really is no free lunch unfortunately and the last thing I want is for the folks at the corruption bureau to begin knocking at my door demanding for me to throw it all up. However, there will be eating and in a bid to maintain and tone all 80kg of me (if not more…wait..its mostly bones…and muscles!), I will have to get back to working out regularly again and watch out for those sugary and artificial goodness (all the best to me).
Lyn and I also took a short trip to Shenzhen and Macau after tying the knot and I’m pretty sure there are some interesting stories to share soon. Until my next post, I wish all my readers (or what’s left of them) a wonderful and fruitful year ahead. As my big big big boss said, “It is going to be a stellar year ahead,” and I believe with all my heart that it will also extend to your personal life…
